The tourism industry was one of the most affected by the covid-19 pandemic, but with the positive news regarding the approval of vaccines, the demand for air tickets and hotels in Brazil and abroad has returned to positive territory.

Check out some destinations with open borders for Brazilian tourists.

Paradise beaches in the Caribbean

Much sought after by Brazilians who like to enjoy the beach, several Caribbean destinations have open borders for Brazilians, among them:

Bahamas
They officially reopened for international tourism on October 15th.  Requirements: Negative PCR test for Covid-19 issued up to 10 days before arrival.  Mandatory completion of the Bahamas Health Visa Card form.  All travelers must quarantine for 14 days.

Colombia
International flights resumed since September 19. Requirements: Submit negative PCR test for Covid-19 taken up to 96 hours before departure. In addition, you will need to register on the website www.migracioncolombia.gov.co  24 to 1 hour before travel.

Cuba
The country has partially reopened its borders since July 1, with access to specific regions of the country, such as Cayo Largo Del Sur, Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo, Cayo Santa María, and Cayo Cruz. Requirements: Asymptomatic travelers do not need to quarantine.  Tests for Covid-19 detection are offered free of charge on arrival at the airport.

Jamaica
They have been accepting Brazilians since June 15. Requirements: Temperature check on arrival.  Some passengers may be tested for Covid-19.

Dominican  Republic
A country famous for the city of Punta Cana and its all inclusive hotels reopened to international tourists on July 1st. Requirements: Temperature check on arrival, passengers who show symptoms or temperature above 38°C will undergo a Covid-19 rapid test, and incidental quarantine and treatment. It will be also required to fill out a Traveller's Health Declaration form.

Mexico 
With famous destinations such as Cancún, Cozumel, and the Mayan Riveira, they are open to international tourism. Requirements: Use of masks in public spaces.

Other destinations

Argentina
Argentina announced the reopening with Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, and Chile. The opening will be gradual starting on November 2nd.

Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
The United Arab Emirates announced the reopening of borders to tourists on 7 July.  Requirements: Visitors will be required to submit a medical certificate proving the negative result of the Covid-19 test, performed less than 96 hours before departure. Anyone who tests positive for the coronavirus must remain isolated in a facility for 14 days, at their own expense.  Visitors will be subject to a new test upon arrival.  You will also need to submit health insurance.

Egypt
Since July 1st, Brazilians can travel to the country. Requirements: Egyptian visa, submit a negative PCR test for Covid-19 issued a maximum of 72 hours before, in addition to completing the “Public Health Card”, on arrival.

Maldives
International tourism in the Maldives has resumed since July 15. However, some resorts have reduced capacity, in addition to strict health standards and social distance. Requirements: Submit a medical certificate proving the negative result of the Covid-19 test, performed less than 72 hours before departure. The use of a mask is mandatory in public spaces.
